investigation, collecting the data of the current academic performance, performance of the tests
to know and the results of the questionnaire test for the motivation of the students. students of the
educational institution, performing the Pearson correlation, a significant correlation was
presented as a result between motivation and academic performance with a significance of 0.7,
which indicates that the greater the motivation, the better the academic performance of the
students. students, and with the performance of tests to know, motivation does not present such a
strong relationship, being 0.4. The findings obtained are relevant since they allow us to know the
importance of motivation in the academic performance of students, since motivation is necessary
for the student to set a goal to meet, it is the key variable that leads to better performance.

La investigación se realizó con un enfoque cuantitativo, teniendo en cuenta el tipo de variable y los elementos adoptados por la investigación, recolectando los datos del rendimiento académico actual, y los resultados de la prueba del cuestionario para la motivación de los estudiantes de la institución educativa, realizando la correlación de Pearson, se presentó como resultado una correlación significativa entre la motivación y el rendimiento académico con una significancia de 0,7, lo que indica que, a mayor motivación, mejor será el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes. Los hallazgos obtenidos son relevantes ya que estos permiten conocer la importancia de la motivación en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes, ya que la motivación es necesaria para que el estudiante se fije una meta a cumplir, es la variable clave que conlleva a un mejor rendimiento académico, es decir, es beneficioso, produce en los estudiantes, reflexión, innovación y a la vez cambio de actitud, convirtiéndose en un ser consciente Palabras Claves: Motivación, Rendimiento Académico, Metodología.
