In this sense, the present investigation pretends to promote empathy through soccer w ith the aim of mitigating physical and verbal aggression in ninth grade students of the Liceo Cervantes el Retiro School. This research is part of the mixed qualitative approach and action research design. Some input and other output instruments were desig ned, and applied to both students and teachers, with the implemented pedagogical strategy too. The first one of characterization and the second one, a Likert scale that inquired about the reasons, forms and types of solution that occur in the context of ph ysical and verbal aggression. Those instruments were applied to 14 ninth grade students and 4 teachers from different areas of knowledge and two from physical education who are in relationship and knowledge with the students. A pedagogical strategy based o n soccer was carried out with the aim of mitigating physical and verbal aggression through empathy as a cross axis. The data obtained were considered by means of analysis categories. The results found are within the analysis and interpretation categories a ccording to the answers provided in the applied instruments, where the impact and relationship that verbal aggression has on physical aggression, the lack of empathy in the individual formation of students and little assertive communication.

La investigación sobre agresión física y verbal ha propiciado una reflexión constante sobre las dinámicas que se presentan en las instituciones educativas buscando comprender dichos fenómenos. En ese sentido, la presente investigación busca fomentar la empatía por medio del fútbol con el objetivo de mitigar las agresiones físicas y verbales en los estudiantes de grado noveno del colegio Liceo Cerv antes el Retiro. Metodológicamente se enmarca en el enfoque mixto y en el diseño de investigación acción. Se propuso un instrumento de entrada y otro de salida, aplicados tanto con estudiantes como profesores, además de la estrategia pedagógica implementad a. El primero de caracterización y el segundo indaga sobre los motivos, formas y mecanismos de solución que se proponen en el marco de la agresión física y verbal. Con base en los hallazgos de la evaluación de entrada se elaboró una estrategia pedagógica a partir del fútbol con el objetivo de mitigar la agresión física y verbal por medio de la empatía como eje transversal. Los resultados se organizaron de acuerdo con categorías de análisis en los cuales se resalta el impacto y relación que tiene la agresión verbal sobre la agresión física, la falta de empatía en la formación individual de los estudiantes y la poca comunicación asertiva.
