From there arises the need to promote traditional gastronomy as a fundamental axis of the economic empowerment of Istmineña women, as great matrons of our community did in their time, among which unforgettable women such as Paulina, Ideliza, Nieves, Pilar and others who from This humble profession met in the market square offering their vast culinary experiences and from there they offered their services to the entire community. |

La gastronomía ancestral es una de las más rica y bella herencia cultural del Municipio de Istmina y, en pro de esa tradición sus mujeres desde la antigüedad hasta hoy la han realizado con una pasión arrolladora, asumiendo con ella un rol de liderazgo y empoderamiento económico desde las épocas de nuestras abuelas hasta hoy. Esta actividad tradicional ha sido la mayor fuente económica de dichas mujeres y, en ellas han desarrollado sus habilidades culinarias; permitido sacar adelante a sus familias de generación en generación. De allí surge la necesidad de potenciar la gastronomía tradicional como eje fundamental del empoderamiento económico de la mujer Istmineña como lo hicieron en su época grandes matronas de nuestra comunidad entre las que se destacaron mujeres inolvidables como Paulina, Ideliza, Nieves, Pilar y otras que desde este humilde oficio se daban cita en la plaza del mercado ofreciendo su basta experiencias culinarias y, desde allí ofrecían sus servicios a toda la comunidad.
