En el artículo se alerta sobre la indefinición del concepto de emoción, el cual proviene del lenguaje natural, y que inserto histórica y socialmente, ha afectado también a la filosofía y la ciencia. Parto, entonces, del enfoque de la neurociencia y paso al mundo social, ejemplificando con la teoría del intercambio de la sociología de las emociones. Concluyo insinuando la posibilidad del análisis de las emociones para la ciencia social en general.
