Este artículo presenta la producción de la disciplina de la matemática en los cinco primeros Journals (revistas especializadas), en términos de temas, bajo el índice de Scimago (15 de abril de 20171); se clasifican los títulos y resúmenes sacados de la muestra mencionada. Luego se comparan las 50 primeras revistas especializadas en matemática con las 50 primeras en la disciplina de la educación y del mismo modo con las 50 primeras en la disciplina de la economía; esta comparación se realiza alrededor de la participación del país de procedencia de las revistas. Finalmente, se hace un análisis (desde la cienciometría) de las revistas especializadas en matemática desde el índice y lapsos mencionados, con procedencia de América Latina.
