Hip Hop, Revolución en Arte Popular”, que el investigador desarrolla como tesis para optar por el título de Magister en Investigación Social Interdisciplinaria de la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas. La preocupación gira en torno a establecer los orígenes del Hip Hop como Movimiento Identitario Juvenil para reconstruir su historia, para rastrear las principales influencias sonoras que lo alimentan y su aparición inicialmente en Norteamérica, determinando de esa manera las condiciones en las que aparece en nuestro país y en las que se fija un horizonte en el que se puede entender el hip hop desde una perspectiva genealógica, es decir, como una categoría de análisis para las ciencias sociales en la actualidad.
