The research examines how the project carries out a public intervention to confront and denounce gender-based violence in highly marginalized spaces. Accordingly, the aim of this text is to explain that La muerte sale por oriente functions as a tool of denunciation and struggle against gender- based violence, as it operates through an aesthetic–affective experience intended to transform the symbolic structures that constitute gender-based violence. At the same time, the text is grounded in the theoretical frameworks of Patricia Hill Collins, Andrea Giunta, Mara Polgovsky, and Rosalyn Deutsche. It also incorporates a methodology drawn from feminist studies and art theory. |

La investigación analiza el proyecto artístico La muerte sale por oriente (2014-presente) desarrollado por la artista Sonia Madrigal. Consiste en un registro de fotografía documental, una acción artística y la construcción de un mapa colectivo. La investigación se pregunta por la forma en que el proyecto realiza una intervención pública para luchar y denunciar la violencia de género en espacios de alta marginalidad. De esta forma, el objetivo de este texto es explicar que La muerte sale por Oriente es una herramienta de denuncia y de lucha contra la violencia de género, ya que trabaja desde la experiencia estético-afectiva para transformar las estructuras simbólicas que constituyen dicha violencia. Al mismo tiempo, el texto se fundamenta en las teorizaciones de Patricia Hills Collins, Andrea Giunta, Mara Polgovsky y Rosalyn Deutsche, e incorpora una metodología desde los estudios feministas y la teoría del arte. Esta pesquisa analisa o projeto artístico *La muerte sale por Oriente* (2014–presente), desenvolvido pela artista Sonia Madrigal. O projeto consiste em um registro fotográfico documental, uma ação artística e a construção de um mapa coletivo. A pesquisa explora como o projeto realiza uma intervenção pública para combater e denunciar a violência de gênero em espaços altamente marginalizados. Assim, o objetivo deste texto é explicar que *La muerte sale por Oriente* é uma ferramenta para denunciar e combater a violência de gênero, partindo de uma experiência estético-afetiva para transformar as estruturas simbólicas que constituem tal violência. Ao mesmo tempo, o texto se fundamenta nas teorias de Patricia Hills Collins, Andrea Giunta, Mara Polgovsky e Rosalyn Deutsche, e incorpora uma metodologia dos estudos feministas e da teoria da arte.
