description My research proposes the articulation of dance with a social issue such as youth migration in rural contexts. The dance is not only as a repetitive act, but as a pedagogical and transformative tool capable of generating bonds, strengthening identities, and emotionally supporting young people who face migratory processes. The objective is to understand how dance practice can serve as a means of sensitive and emotional accompaniment, allowing students to narrate and re-signify their migratory experiences, build collective memory, and find spaces for the expression of their cultural identity. This approach seeks to go beyond mere spectacle, positioning dance as a resource for emotional and social containment. “At the methodological level, the research adopts a qualitative approach based on Participatory Action Research. This methodological choice seeks to ensure that students are not merely subjects of study, but rather protagonists in the creation of knowledge. Several possible data collection strategies are considered, such as dance workshops, interviews, field journals, and participatory observation, which could enable the collective construction of experiences and knowledge.” The participants are students about to graduate from the I.E.D. República de Corea, especially those who have migration in their life plans or are already in the process of migrating. The participation of different actors from the educational community is also contemplated, with the purpose of enriching the analysis, planning the accompaniment, and monitoring the implementation of the proposal. This research arises from the need to respond to a social issue identified in La Peña, particularly at the I.E.D. República de Corea: the emotional, sentimental, and cultural challenges students face in the context of migration, often without adequate institutional or family support. Furthermore, its scope is directed not only at migrant students and their families, but also at educational institutions and organizations that seek to promote emotional well-being and youth social cohesion.

Esta investigación se propone la articulación de la danza con una problemática social como es la migración juvenil en contextos rurales. La danza no solo como un acto repetitivo, sino como una herramienta pedagógica y transformadora capaz de generar vínculos, fortalecer identidades y acompañar emocionalmente a los jóvenes que enfrentan procesos migratorios. El objetivo es comprender de qué manera la práctica dancística puede servir como un medio de acompañamiento sensible y emocional, permitiendo que los estudiantes narren y resignifiquen sus experiencias migratorias, construyan memoria colectiva y encuentren espacios de expresión para su identidad cultural. Este enfoque busca ir más allá del espectáculo, situando la danza como un recurso de contención emocional y social. En el plano metodológico, la investigación adopta un enfoque cualitativo basado en la Investigación Acción Participativa. Esta elección metodológica busca de que los estudiantes no sean únicamente sujetos de estudio, sino protagonistas en la creación de conocimiento. Para ello se tienen contempladas algunas posibles estrategias de recolección de información como talleres de danza, entrevistas, diarios de campo y observación participativa, que podrían posibilitar la construcción colectiva de experiencias y saberes. Los participantes son estudiantes próximos a egresar de la I.E.D. República de Corea, especialmente aquellos que tienen dentro de sus planes de vida migrar o ya se encuentran en proceso de migración. También se tiene contemplada la participación de diferentes actores de la comunidad educativa, con el fin de enriquecer el análisis, planificar el acompañamiento y hacer seguimiento a la implementación de la propuesta. La investigación nace a partir de la necesidad de responder a una problemática social identificada en la Peña, especialmente en la IED República de Corea, los desafíos emocionales, sentimentales y culturales que enfrentan los estudiantes ante la migración, muchas veces sin un acompañamiento institucional ni familiar adecuado. Además, su alcance va dirigido no solo a los estudiantes migrantes y sus familias, sino también a instituciones educativas y entidades que buscan promover el bienestar emocional y la cohesión social juvenil.
