Sumario: | This research article analyzes the impact of artificial intelligence on job stability, with a particular focus on dismissals resulting from automation. It assesses the need for a legal framework that ensures a balance between technological development and the protection of labor rights. A qualitative approach was adopted, based on documentary review of academic literature, national regulations, and empirical studies. The topic is addressed from legal, social, and technological perspectives. The concept and definition of AI are examined, highlighting the increasing replacement of workers by automated systems in sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, and technology, in the absence of clear retraining policies or regulatory safeguards. Furthermore, the study reveals a lack of sufficient legal mechanisms to address dismissals triggered by algorithmic decisions. The findings underscore the urgent need to implement comprehensive public policies that regulate the use of AI in the workplace, promote technical training, and establish fair transition mechanisms. Otherwise, automation may exacerbate social inequalities and undermine the right to decent work. |
