Este trabajo se centra en comprender como la motivación escolar y el compromiso académico son cruciales en la educación, influyendo en el aprendizaje. Se aborda la relación entre estos aspectos, la inteligencia emocional y el rendimiento académico, con enfoque en estudiantes de educación superior. Se busca identificar factores que influyen en la motivación. Se revisaron 12 estudios recientes y se encontró que la motivación intrínseca es esencial, pero la pandemia y la presencialidad afectan la motivación. Además, se resalta la importancia de los docentes como agentes motivadores y la necesidad de promover la equidad en la educación. Resaltando la necesidad de programas educativos personalizados, considerando el bienestar socioemocional.
