Due to unstructured use of free time, people spend a lot of time behind electronic devices that encourage unhealthy leisure activities. This research aims to analyze the importance of the proper use of free time in the educative subject with the purpose of verifying what benefits its proper use can have. Through a bibliographical review, it is determined that a productive use of free time is important to develop healthy habits and adequate social, emotional and cognitive skills in order to integrate into a changing world.

El tiempo libre es un aspecto en la vida de los sujetos educativos que les permite desarrollarse en áreas académicas, personales y profesionales. El adecuado uso de este tiempo es un factor vital que, dependiendo de la forma en que se utilice, impactará de manera positiva o negativa. Debido al uso no estructurado del tiempo libre, se pasa mucho tiempo detrás de dispositivos electrónicos que fomentan actividades de ocio poco saludables . Esta investigación pretende analizar la importancia que tiene el uso adecuado del tiempo libre en el sujeto educativo con el propósito de verificar cuáles beneficios puede tener su buen uso. Mediante una revisión bibliográfica se determina que un uso productivo del tiempo libre es importante para desarrollar en los sujetos educativos hábitos saludables y habilidades sociales, emocionales y cognitivas adecuadas para integrarse en unasociedad cambiante.
