This descriptive study aims to identify the level of knowledge of the culture of peace concept. Using surveys of parents and teachers of two elementary schools in a vulnerable context. The results show the ignorance of the parents in education for peace and that their children have suffered some type of violence within the school. Teachers show little access to programs for the prevention of school violence, due to the meager dissemination of the protocol, little understanding and only administrative implementations that cause little education in the culture of peace, since the protocols are actions isolated from the problem in question. .

La educación para la paz es una necesidad social para la convivencia. La cultura de paz es el conjunto de valores, actitudes y comportamientos que reflejan el respeto a la vida, la dignidad y los derechos humanos (Jiménez-Bautista, 2008). Las escuelas son afectadas por situaciones de violencia, por la desinformación en cultura de paz, en particular en escuelas en la periferia. El presente estudio descriptivo pretende identificar el nivel de conocimiento del concepto cultura de paz. Utilizando encuestas a padres y profesores de dos primarias en contexto vulnerable. Los resultados demuestran el desconocimiento de los padres en educación para la paz y que sus hijos han sufrido algún tipo de violencia dentro de la escuela. Los profesores manifiestan poco acceso a programas para la prevención de la violencia escolar, debido a la raquítica difusión del protocolo, poca comprensión e implementaciones solo administrativas que originan poca educación en la cultura de paz, ya que los protocolos son acciones aisladas del problema en cuestión.
