| description | In Spain, the importance of teaching atmospheric risks has reached the political sphere with the intention of improving how these contents are treated in non-university stages. This interest is determined by the fact that education is an action of vital necessity to increase the adaptation and resilience of natural risks in the current context of climate change, as reflected in the 2030 Agenda (United Nations Organization). The objective of this work is to propose didactic activities (Spanish context) in the subject of Geography (Secondary Education and Baccalaureate) on the risk of flooding, one of the main effects associated with the climate warming process in the Mediterranean region. With its implementation it is intended, on the one hand, to eliminate the deficiencies evidenced in the training of students in relation to the sources from which they obtain information, and on the other, to promote the importance that education has in the prevention and mitigation of risks climatic. This proposal has also been prepared with the intention of being a guide to be implemented in other regions with similar climatic and socio-economic characteristics. |

En España, la importancia de la enseñanza de los eventos atmosféricos ha cobrado importancia en la esfera política con la finalidad de mejorar cómo se tratan estos contenidos en las etapas no universitarias. Este interés viene determinado por el hecho de que la educación es una acción de vital necesidad para aumentar la adaptación y resiliencia ante los riesgos naturales en el contexto actual de cambio climático tal y como recoge la Agenda 2030 (Organización de las Naciones Unidas). El objeto de este trabajo es proponer actividades didácticas (contexto español) en la asignatura de Geografía (Educación Secundaria y Bachillerato) sobre los riesgos de inundación, uno de los principales efectos asociados al proceso de calentamiento climático en la región mediterránea. Con su implementación se pretende, por un lado, eliminar las deficiencias evidenciadas en la formación del alumnado en relación a las fuentes de las que obtienen información, y por otro, fomentar la importancia que la educación tiene en la prevención y mitigación de los riesgos climáticos. Esta propuesta, además, se ha elaborado con la intención de que sea una guía para implementar en otras regiones con características climáticas y socio-económicas similares.
