Likewise, data collection is done through a sociodemographic survey and the Brief Cope questionnaire. Finally, a quantitative analysis of the results is carried out taking into account the coping strategies; In this way it is concluded that the style of coping most used by the participants was focused on the problem.

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo describir los estilos de afrontamiento en 40 personas con lesiones de piel por quemaduras de II y III grado, los fundamentos teóricos para esta investigación se basaron en el enfoque cognitivo-conductual desde la perspectiva teórica de Lazarus y Folkman; de esta manera la metodología empleada fue cuantitativa, de tipo transversal y descriptiva. Así mismo, la recolección de datos se hace por medio de una encuesta sociodemográfica y el cuestionario de afrontamiento Brief Cope. Finalmente se realiza un análisis cuantitativo de los resultados teniendo en cuenta las estrategias de afrontamiento; de esta manera se concluye que el estilo de afrontamiento más utilizado por los participantes fue el enfocado al problema.
