Description
Summary:Hydroxyapatite is a crystalline biomaterial, its elasticity and physical, mechanical and chemical characteristics make this material important for bone replacement processes and/or dental repairs. In the present work, the effect of mechanical processes to obtain hydroxyapatite powders from pig bone is analyzed. For this study, two processes were carried out which involve mechanical grinding and drilling of pig bone fragments for pulverization, however, these powder samples are subjected to calcination of these pork bone powders with a heat treatment of 600, 650 and 700 °C to search for the crystallization of hydroxyapatite.
