Description
Summary:This research work performs a theoretical documental review over the initial studies of the hysteria’s conversion, beginning by Sigmund Freud’s research, who in order to come to the fundamental theorizations of such decease going through a series of situations that take him to discover things beyond to what he expected to find. His discoveries refuted the hypothesis of doctors of that time, to whom he had to face in order to defend his new findings: the discovery of the unconscious and its repressed representations, which in turn, gave as a result the evidence of a conversive symptom related to the sexuality. By giving up to methods as hypnosis and catharsis doors are open to free association, giving birth to the psychoanalysis and to studies such as those that cleared questions referred to the neurosis of the defense.
