Therefore, the objective of this research is to recognize the causes that encourage the deterioration and underutilization of this ecotourism trail, taking into account the activities that occur in the environment in which it is located. En el malecón del rio Magdalena de la ciudad Neiva con el pasar de los años ha incrementado el deterioro urbano a causa del abandono de entidades gubernamentales en varios aspectos como la exigencia de los usos del suelo ubicados paralelamente al malecón los cuales no son los idóneos y no concuerdan con el POT de la ciudad, lo anterior ha generado aumento de inseguridad, suciedad, invasión del espacio público por parte de habitantes de calle y que este sea poco atractivo. Por tanto, el objetivo de esta investigación es reconocer las causas que incentivan el deterioro y subutilización de este sendero ecoturístico, teniendo en cuenta las actividades que se presentan en el entorno en que se encuentra.
