| Sumario: | The general objective of this work is to prepare a proposal to optimize the purchasing and
storage processes at the "Maleja" poultry farm located in the rural area of Santa Marta. The
research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. A diagnosis was carried out by visiting the
farm and interviewing the purchasing manager, identifying opportunities for improvement. It is
proposed to implement a supplier selection plan and a Kardex system for inventory management.
These improvements are expected to increase operational efficiency, reduce costs and improve
input sourcing. The conclusions highlight the potential positive impact of the proposal on aspects
such as availability of inputs, reduction of losses and decision making. Among the
