Según la RAE (2020), la pirotecnia es la técnica de la fabricación y utilización de materiales explosivos o fuegos artificiales; debido a estos, la pirotecnia va acompañada de un ruido estruendoso y fuerte. Cuando se acercan las festividades en Colombia, la angustia de muchos propietarios de mascotas es la pirotecnia, una práctica común en nuestro país que puede llegar a afectar a nuestras mascotas, especialmente a los perros que pueden verse afectados de manera comportamental y sistémica.
