Como resultado del presente estudio, se determinó que el área del embalse de Tominé, localizado en el departamento de Cundinamarca, en Colombia, presentó importantes variaciones dentro del período comprendido entre 1977 y 2023. A través del procesamiento de imágenes satelitales Landsat de diferentes años y del empleo de fotografías aéreas de origen IGAC para el año 2007, se identificó y digitalizó el espejo de agua del embalse y las superficies cubiertas con vegetación acuática tipo buchón. El proceso de edición y análisis se adelantó a través del Software ArcMap 10.8.1.
