| Sumario: | Efficient material management on a construction site is essential to ensure proper resource management and the successful execution of construction projects. In this descriptive study, various stages of the materials distribution process were investigated in the project “Viviendas Unifamiliares Villa del Carmen” carried out by Vergara Ingenieros & Arquitectos Constructores S.A.S. Critical issues in material management were identified during the analysis, particularly related to delivery times and the lack of training for personnel involved in the materials requisition process. In response to these challenges, a comprehensive action plan comprising three key strategies was proposed: training and monitoring, optimization of material management, and establishment of formal procedures. The primary objective of this plan is to effectively enhance material management in the context of the construction project. |
