Sumario:The objective of this study was to identify the family factors that influence the academic performance of fourth grade students of the San Antonio de Palomino Rural Educational Institution. To achieve the established objectives, quantitative and descriptive methodological elements will be used in this way to describe the family factors that affect academic performance in adolescents of the educational institution under study. Regarding the measurement instrument, the family APGAR was used and it was applied to 40 students from grade 401 and 402 of the institution, whose ages are between 9 and 10 years
