Dentro del desarrollo de la monografía de investigación se puede llegar a definir la potencialidad e importancia económica que tiene la guadua Angustifolia en nuestro país desde hace años, siendo esta una planta elemental para el desarrollo y sustento de muchas familias. Se pueden analizar los departamentos como mayor área sembrada y capacidad de producción y exportación como materia prima y como productos terminados, mostrando de esta forma algunas de las principales empresas encargadas de realizar el proceso de aprovechamiento silvicultural como actividad económica que aporta significativamente a la economía del país y así mostrar muchas de las bondades y beneficios de esta planta que ha ido perdiendo su reconocimiento y valor comercial en el mercado, con la llegada y uso de productos que la han sustituido, como por ejemplo en el sector de la construcción, buscando así incentivar, su aprovechamiento adecuado y buscar así potenciar su economía a nivel internacional.
