Summary: | Medicine, despite being a discipline that has experienced enormous advances in the last century, has a teaching model that has changed little from that described by Abraham Flexner in the report presented in 1910 to the Carnegie Foundation (Borrell, 2005). The advent of new technologies, the advances and discoveries that have occurred in this period, highlight the need for teachers with the appropriate skills, aptitudes and knowledge to guide the training of the new generations of medical professionals, while at the same time being capable of adapting to the new legislative environments determined for the profession. |
