We worked with one hundred percent of the four courses of the institution, whose members belong to a low socioeconomic level. It is a public school in the city of Bogotá, Colombia. The purpose of the research is to analyze and describe the levels of self-esteem in each of the five dimensions (corporal, personal, academic, social and family), which EDINA evaluates. This instrument is composed of twenty one items, with a reliability of 0.803 in Cronbach's alpha. The analysis that was applied was univariate and the results indicated that global self-esteem is high as well as four of its five dimensions. |

El ser humano en su construcción de identidad es muy complejo, y la autoestima juega un papel fundamental para dicha construcción. En este trabajo de investigación se pretende analizar la autoestima global y sus cinco dimensiones en una población de 145 niños y niñas, estudiantes de segundo grado de Básica Primaria, con edades que oscilan entre los seis y los ocho años. Se trabajó con la totalidad de los cuatro cursos de la institución, cuyos integrantes pertenecen a un nivel socioeconómico bajo. Se trata de un colegio público, institución educativa de la localidad de Bosa, en la ciudad de Bogotá, Colombia. La investigación tiene como propósito analizar y describir los niveles de autoestima en cada una de las cinco dimensiones (corporal, personal, académica, social y familiar), que evalúa EDINA. Este instrumento está compuesto por veintiún ítems, con una fiabilidad de 0,803 en el alfa de Cronbach. El análisis que se aplicó fue univariado, y los resultados indicaron que la autoestima global es alta, al igual que cuatro de sus cinco dimensiones.
