En el presente trabajo, se indaga sobre la manera en la que el estilo de apego en jóvenes que transitan por una ruptura amorosa sentimental o afectiva se relaciona con la aparición de una sintomatología mixta de ansiedad y depresión, básicamente se exploraron los primeros vínculos afectivos, primeras relaciones y la manera de afrontarlas con un enfoque histórico hermenéutico, con un tipo de investigación cualitativa, en cuanto al diseño la presente investigación se basó en un diseño fenomenológico por medio de una entrevista narrativa cómo instrumento de recolección de dato en un grupo focal y en relación a la sintetización se utilizó una matriz deprocedimientos y una matriz de análisis de resultados.
