La infección por tuberculosis latente es definida como la respuesta inmune a Mycobacterium tuberculosis sin manifestaciones clínicas. Los trabajadores de la salud desempeñan sus actividades laborales en servicios en donde se encuentran factores de riesgo laborales, tales como la presencia de pacientes contagiados de tuberculosis, trabajadores de la salud con tuberculosis infecciosa, ambientes laborales con falta de ventilación e iluminación, entre otras.
