elements, performing activities that distract the attention on the road, exceeding the speed limit, failure to comply
with traffic rules and performing activities that distract the attention on the road, exceeding the speed limit,
According to the results obtained, it is concluded that it is necessary to continue researching on this topic and
measures aimed at reducing the most frequent patterns and improving the behavior of road actors when traveling
on the roads are presented as a contribution through an informative brochure. |

La seguridad vial se ha convertido en un problema para el departamento de Boyacá, debido a la baja capacidad que tienen las carreteras ante el incremento de vehículos, que ha provocado un aumento en los accidentes de tránsito en los últimos años, donde los actores viales más afectados por estos hechos son los peatones y motociclistas, es así como nace el propósito de esta investigación que es determinar y analizar el estado de la seguridad vial de acuerdo con una revisión bibliográfica acerca de este tema. Para este estudio, se estableció una metodología de tipo no experimental, donde incluye una revisión y análisis de bases de datos, estadísticas y artículos de investigación, donde se identificaron las causas que influyen en la frecuencia de estos incidentes, así como el nivel de desempeño de los actores viales según la Agencia Nacional de Seguridad Vial, donde el mal uso de elementos de protección, realizar actividades que distraen la atención en la carretera, sobrepasar el límite de velocidad, incumplir las normas de tránsito y realizar maniobras de riesgo son las más reiteradas y nos da claridad del nivel de seguridad; por eso, se espera que las autoridades competentes tomen medidas estrictas para disminuir estas tendencias. Según los resultados obtenidos se concluye que es necesario seguir investigando acerca de este tema y se exponen medidas encaminadas a reducir los patrones más frecuentes y mejorar el comportamiento de los actores viales al transitar por las vías representado como un aporte a través de un folleto informativo.
