| Sumario: | Gestational anemia is a condition that occurs in pregnant women.
characterized by the body not having an adequate amount of healthy red blood cells,
which are responsible for transporting oxygen to the rest of the body. Within the etiologies
of gestational anemia, the deficiency of folic acid, iron, and glucose is addressed-6-
phosphate dehydrogenase, etc. (Augusta de Sá, and others, 2015). Canales and Vera (2016) have related
that the WHO in this same year has highlighted that in several Latin American countries, anemia
iron deficiency has become a frequent complication in pregnancy, being associated with
preterm delivery, low birth weight and perinatal morbidity and mortality, based on this, it has been
evidenced that when hemoglobin is less than 11 g/dl, 19.7 maternal deaths occur
