PubMed and Scielo were identified. Results: 6 articles in English language were
analyzed, 4 descriptive observational and 2 analytical observational, evaluating patients
with primary open angle glaucoma, 1 medium and moderate stage, 2 advanced and 3
without stage. Three of the studies measured contrast sensitivity with the Pelli Robson
test and three with the CSV-1000. Reporting an average contrast sensitivity of 1.6 log in
glaucoma patients evaluated with Pelli Robson and an average of 1.07 in low, medium
and high spatial frequencies in the group of glaucoma patients measured with CSV1000E. Conclusion: The included studies evidenced the decrease in contrast sensitivity
in patients with glaucoma in the CSV-1000 and Pelli Robson tests. |

La sensibilidad al contraste es la habilidad de discriminar diferencias de luminancia en varias frecuencias espaciales. El glaucoma es una neuropatía óptica y puede disminuir la sensibilidad al contraste debido a la pérdida de células ganglionares y fibras nerviosas. Objetivo: Identificar los valores de sensibilidad al contraste en pacientes con glaucoma primario de ángulo abierto y pacientes control, con los test Pelli Robson y CSV-1000. Métodos: Se identificaron estudios publicados entre 2006 a 2022, PubMed y Scielo. Resultados: Se analizaron 6 artículos en idioma inglés 4 observacional descriptivo y 2 observacional analítico, evaluaron pacientes con glaucoma primario de Angulo abierto, 1 de estadio medio y moderado, 2 de avanzado y 3 sin estadio. Tres de los estudios midieron la sensibilidad al contraste con el test de Pelli Robson y tres con CSV-1000. Reportando un promedio de sensibilidad al contraste de 1,6 log en pacientes con glaucoma evaluados con Pelli Robson y un promedio de 1,07 en frecuencias espaciales bajas, medias y altas en el grupo de pacientes con glaucoma medidos con CSV-1000E.
