Entre los municipios Gigante y Garzón, localizados en el centro del departamento del Huila se formalizó “La ruta mágica del café”, una ruta agro turística conformada por los localizados sobre la vía Silvaniafinqueros Zuluaga que comunica ambos cascos de los municipios sobre la cordillera oriental, su propósito es visibilizar y fomentar el desarrollo local enfocado fundamentalmente en el agroturismo y turismo rural como oferta adicional a lo que tienen en sus territorios y aprovechando el sobresaliente y destacado lugar que el Huila ocupa como primer productor de café especial a nivel nacional; los servicios prestados dentro de esta ruta son: hospedajes, miradores, turismo de naturaleza, turismo cultural, agroturismo y cycling, se evidencia la necesidad de nuevos alojamientos ya que los escenarios que la conforman cuentan con un déficit de capacidad de alojamiento e insuficiencia en los ya existentes para hospedar a los visitantes y potenciales huéspedes. A través de este proyecto se busca brindar una solución de viviendas rurales que respondan a la alta demanda que empieza a darse por turistas que quieren conocer y recorrer la ruta y va dirigido principalmente aquellos finqueros que no cuentan con conocimientos previos de diseños y construcción para que los prototipos realizados sirvan como referentes para ellos.
