Sumario:In industrial companies and especially manufacture, use in their different equipment both simple as specialized in order to generate commercial impact in the sectors of its activity, such as is the case, from the factory CYMACOSTA S.A.S. is a company dedicated to the manufacture of various boxes for marketing and export of products agriculture, especially bananas, is located in Santa Marta in the department of Magdalena, Colombia. The company has diversity in its different processes such as corrugators, splicers, flexographic and different types of cutters longitudinal and transversal, within this group find brand paper roll slitter Premier model KSSM60, where the sheets are cut or cardboard used in banana packaging to protect the fruit in the lower holes of the box. Currently the machine works with a manual control where the operator must carry out the task of adjusting the sheet measurements, manually adjusting the speeds of the cutting cylinder and that of the bands that transport the paper in the machine, which generates continuous losses of raw material due to the high number of sheets with non-conforming measures. This investigationIts purpose is to present a prototype for the cutting system of the machine, which allows to verify the feasibility of implementing a control system with PLC and an Operator Interface or HMI to control the cut automatically. To optimize the process of production and significantly reduce waste that is currently generated.
