is qualitative, framed in an interpretative paradigm. A structured interview was designed and
applied to directors of the institution to collect a diagnosis of the actions implemented during the
Learn at Home strategy. The opinions collected allowed the creation of an instrument to assess
absenteeism associated with cultural and economic capital, which was validated by three expert
peers. This instrument was applied to 198 students from both days of high school. It is concluded
that after a documentary and systematic search of the typologies of absenteeism, it is evident that
the importance of absenteeism has not yet been sufficiently disseminated. And it is significant to
involve it in the institutional practices and in the educational entities, allowing to attack this
problem. This research made it possible to establish that the social context in which the educational
community is located, and the lack of follow-up have a marked influence on the cases in which
absenteeism occurs |

This research made it possible to establish that the social context in which the educational community is located, and the lack of follow-up have a marked influence on the cases in which absenteeism occurs El presente documento tiene como fin presentar los resultados de una investigación, cuyo objetivo consistió en identificar las tipologías de absentismo presentadas durante la emergencia social y sanitaria Covid Sar-19 en una institución educativa Distrital de la ciudad de Bogotá en estudiantes de media. El diseño metodológico es de tipo cualitativo y se enmarca en un paradigma interpretativo. Para la recolección de la información se diseñó una entrevista estructurada, que fue aplicada a directivos de la institución con el fin de obtener un diagnóstico de las acciones implementadas durante la estrategia Aprende en Casa. Las opiniones recogidas permitieron la creación de un instrumento de valoración del absentismo asociado al capital cultural y económico, el cual fue validado por tres pares expertos y aplicado a 198 estudiantes de ambas jornadas pertenecientes a educación media. Se concluye y evidencia, después de una búsqueda documental y sistemática de las tipologías de absentismo que, aún no se ha divulgado lo suficiente respecto a la importancia de éste y que resulta significativo involucrarlo en las practicas institucionales y en las entidades educativas, con el fin de diseñar estrategias y técnicas que permitan contrarrestar dicha problemática. Esta investigación permitió establecer que el contexto social en el cual se ubica la comunidad educativa y la falta de seguimiento influye marcadamente en los casos en que se presentan absentismo.
