| Sumario: | The visitation regime between parents and children is a mechanism that can be agreed upon between the spouses, by court order, or by the administrative authority. However, in Colombia, there are no sanctions for parents who do not comply with them. Still, there are social, psychological, and cultural repercussions on the children who do not receive them or are not guaranteed them. The latter as a consequence of the sentimental rupture, the spouse who is deprived of family cohabitation, decides to move away and/or disregard the exercise of strengthening emotional and family ties with their children, or the spouse who has custody incurs parental alienation and prevents the other from seeing the children, or finally, when starting the visits and getting the child and/or adolescent used to them, abruptly decides to interrupt them. |
