Sumario: | The main objective of the research is to analyze the narratives about the adaptation process in people who lost family members due to COVID-19, for which the family, grief, communication and COVID-19 were taken as categories of analysis. The research takes as a theoretical reference what is indicated by the World Health Organization and the Pan American Health Organization, in addition to research carried out during the pandemic. In the same way, as
a guide from psychology, the systemic approach was taken as a reference, which corresponds to perceiving the family as a whole. Regarding the methodology, it is developed taking as a guide the precepts of qualitative research to capture the reality of families who lost a loved one, taking
into account as a reference a sample of four informants, to whom a open interview, where each participant expressed their experience facing the loss of a family member. The results are consistent and related to the particular experience to face the loss, the changes of roles within the groups are determined according to the degree of affectation by the same loss and the breakdown of communication within the families is a visible element because it generates family union or
group disintegration |
