municipality was carried out, mainly after the signing of the peace agreement in Colombia,
in addition to correctly identifying the covers that present greater susceptibility to
anthropic intervention. Finding that for the year 2015 the natural covers occupied 54.29%
of the total area of the municipality, while for the year 2022 this occupation decreased
representing 43.48% of the municipality, which indicates that although the natural and
semi-natural covers presenting high representativeness in the municipality, the forest cover
contributes little percentage of area to the total with 3.3%.
The municipality has had many changes in recent years, mainly identifying the loss
of natural and semi-natural coverage in important magnitudes. For example, the forest cover
decreased by 2,054.48 hectares during the analysis period, especially due to the increase in
agricultural activities in the municipality.
On the other hand, in the fragmentation analysis, the core area index (CAI) was
identified for the year 2015 and 2022, where it was found that the secondary vegetation
has a higher value (61.8) for 2015; while the coverage of shrublands is the one with the
highest value (76.45) in the analysis of the year 2022. |

En este trabajo, se hizo una identificación de las coberturas presentes en el Municipio de San Jacinto en el Departamento de Bolívar, esto con apoyo en dos imágenes satelitales Sentinel 2 de los años 2015 y 2022, mediante clasificación supervisada y un análisis de fragmentación. se realizó análisis de cambios en la cobertura boscosa que se han presentado en el municipio, principalmente después de la firma del acuerdo de paz en Colombia, además de identificar cuáles son las coberturas que presentan mayor susceptibilidad a intervención antrópica. Encontrando que para el año 2015 las coberturas naturales ocupaban el 54,29% del área total del municipio, mientras que para el año 2022 esta ocupación disminuye representando el 43,48% del municipio, lo que indica que aunque las coberturas naturales y semi naturales presentan alta representatividad en el municipio la cobertura de bosque aporta poco porcentaje de área al total con 3.3%. El municipio ha tenido muchos cambios en los últimos años identificándose principalmente la pérdida de coberturas naturales y seminaturales en magnitudes importantes. Por ejemplo la cobertura boscosa disminuyó para el período de análisis 2054,48 hectáreas especialmente por el aumento de las actividades agrícolas en el municipio. Por otra parte, en el análisis de fragmentación se identificó el índice de área core (CAI) para el año 2015 y 2022 donde se encontró que la vegetación secundaria está con un mayor valor (61,8) para 2015; mientras la cobertura de arbustales es la de mayor valor (76,45) en el análisis del año 2022.
