Sumario:The objective was to analyze the narratives of a woman from Chocó who experienced displacement caused by the armed conflict. The methodology is qualitative. It is a case study from a phenomenological perspective. The participant is a woman who experienced forced displacement with her family. Among the findings, it is found that the experience of displacement lasts over time, generates emotional disorders, maintains a close relationship with memory, fear and the feeling of abandonment despite maintaining their family nucleus. Resilience in this case was a fundamental factor of coupling to reality and the need to maintain a sense of independence. Within the final reflections, the use of Sara Cobb's model is recommended, who through her research has found that narration, telling stories -in this case life story- allow the person in a mediation process to reach a reflective stage that makes him empathize with the other, in this case, with the character himself and with his social network. Keywords: mediation, forced displacement, armed conflict, narrative, uprooting
