Description
Summary:In Colombia, the legislation on the civil status of people was defined in the face of a social and civil situation, regarding the human being and his relationship in society. Under this perspective, four civil statuses were established and used: married, single, divorced or widowed. However, in the current Colombian context, the conception and structure of the traditional family has mutated, giving rise to new civil states, since today there are countless permanent partners who live together, but are not married. Therefore, this research has as its object of study, the de facto marital union in Colombia and its Civil status, as a development perspective and source of law.
