Therefore, the need arises to go back to the environment and seek in it a critical and reflective analysis regarding weaving and random provocation: weaving as Las Moiras do, or better yet, as my Great-grandmother did; to be able to find in that vital act the consolidation of the self. |

La herencia del tejido de la mochila tradicional Kankuama, cuyo conocimiento fue transmitido por generaciones dentro de mi círculo familiar, trae consigo un sinnúmero de relatos, de tradición oral, que fijaron en mí el deseo de develar estos saberes propios del entorno habitado por aquellos quienes me antecedieron. De igual medida, el traslado a la Ciudad de Bogotá me implica la adquisición de una identidad condicionada por las dinámicas sociales de la urbe; Frente a este constante proceso de alienación me pregunto en simultáneo sobre el antes y el después, mis memorias y conocimientos, y en este cuestionamiento constante sospecho tanto del uno como del otro. Por lo tanto surge la necesidad de volver a al entorno y buscar en este un análisis crítico y reflexivo respecto al tejer y provocar al azar: tejer como lo hacen Las Moiras, o mejor aún, como lo hizo mi Bisabuela; para poder encontrar en ese acto vital la consolidación del yo.
