| Sumario: | Study of average costs assumed by students of an orthodontic postgraduate course, seeks to respond to the need to know said information as an input for making decisions in terms of financial projection. Descriptive, non-experimental cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, by means of which the costs of the supplies used in finished treatments during clinical care were determined with a cut-off date to the second academic semester of 2020, from which it is derived that the cost average of supplies per orthodontic treatment is $ 748,008 with a variation margin of 11.6%. The objective of the study cannot be fully elucidated since the sample universe was not available, which did not allow to validate the costs of other types of orthodontic treatments other than corrective orthodontics - self-ligating, pending its application in: Early treatment clinic, straight arch and standard treatment, becoming a first moment of research that opens the door for future studies. |
