| Sumario: | This monograph aims to publicize the advantages and disadvantages that the approval of bill 028 of 2018 would bring, which seeks the regulation of cryptocurrencies in Colombia, for this specific case the Bitcoin currency will be treated, because it is the leading and strongest cryptocurrency in the cryptocurrency market. Currently this cryptocurrency does not have any legal support from any country, which makes its price very volatile and the investment risk is higher. Now, it is important to analyze this bill taking into account that, by imposing a 5% tax on transactions that generate profits, this influences the decisions of Bitcoin traders to continue with their purchase and sale of this. It is also important to identify the benefits it would bring to the Colombian economy, and thus finally, consider whether it is a viable project for both parties. |
