| Sumario: | The diagnosis of depression is based mainly on the data that patients can provide and on the experience of medical personnel, who through different techniques (test, observation, interview) seek to identify specific symptoms of this disease, such as: unexplained emotional changes, sleep problems, loss of interest, negative thoughts, suicidal ideation, among others. In the case of women, recognizing these types of symptoms is easier for them, since they are characterized by easily expressing emotions and feelings, however, it is not easy for men to identify and communicate emotional changes, since, from children , due to purely cultural factors, the natural way of expressing their emotions was repressed or modified |
