La presente investigación pretende conocer las características psicológicas de las mujeres víctimas de violencia de pareja para lo cual se empleó un tipo de investigación cualitativa con diseño narrativo, para la recolección de la información se hizo de entrevista grupal abierta a 4 mujeres universitarias, víctimas de violencia de pareja pertenecientes a la; luego de la recolección de la información, esta se organizó mediante una matriz de análisis donde se establecieron categorías con el fin de relacionar el discurso de las participantes con las características psicológicas que prevalecen en los casos de violencia de pareja, las cuales se relacionan con dependencia, autoestima y ciclo de violencia.
