This graduate work addresses the issue of adequate housing as a possible solution to the population and housing deficit in the municipality of Cumaribo, in the Colombian department of Vichada; the 7 elements of housing proposed by the UN are taken as a starting point, where quality is identified from two perspectives, one quantitative and the other qualitative, the first refers to the physical characteristics of housing, as well as its environment; the second has to do with the relationship between man and territory, that is, the interactions that human beings have with the popular habitat.

La conformación de vivienda y su influencia cotidiana es uno de los asuntos que más se plantea la sociedad en relación con su labor diaria. Este trabajo de grado aborda el asunto de la vivienda adecuada como una posible solución al déficit habitacional de población y vivienda para el municipio de Cumaribo, en el departamento colombiano del Vichada; se toman como punto de partida los 7 elementos de la vivienda propuestos por la ONU, en donde se identifica la calidad desde dos perspectivas, una cuantitativa y otra cualitativa, el primero hace referencia a las características físicas de la vivienda, así como de su entorno; lo segundo, tiene que ver con la relación del hombre y el territorio, es decir, las interacciones que tiene el ser humano frente al hábitat popular.
