Sumario:In relation to the last event that has happened worldwide based on the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused changes at a general level in all aspects of life, this research wanted to see how the motivational needs of adolescents in the grades were. We say and eleven from the Bahía de Buenaventura educational center, as they returned to face-to-face classes after spending a long time adapting to other learning methodologies from the virtual field from each of their homes. The general objective of the present study was to analyze the motivational need that predominates in the students of the tenth and eleventh grades of the Bahía de Buenaventura Educational Center. This was carried out with the quantitative method, the type of study used was descriptive-exploratory, the sample was comprised of 44 students from the tenth and eleventh grades of the Bahía de Buenaventura educational center. The information was collected through the sociodemographic survey, which responded to the first specific objective of the research; Therefore, the motivational needs scale in adolescents (EM1) was used, in which it was obtained that the motivational needs that predominate in students of the tenth and eleventh grade is the need for power, followed by achievement and ending with affiliation. Finally, it should be noted that the need for recognition, even if it is not part of the scale, also has a significant percentage in relation to the motivational needs of the students.
