optimization of times, routes, movements and use of raw materials. The project begins from an
initial diagnosis where the different factors that intervene in the production process were
identified, such as: machinery, personnel, raw materials, manufactured products and the
procedure for their manufacture. After the diagnosis stage, it is convenient to prepare the
diagrams, mainly the current distribution design and the relational diagram by departments, this
with the aim of identifying the degree of closeness necessary between the work areas, later a
study was established of times by means of course charts in order to establish the cycle times and
the movements carried out. Next, a proposal was selected through a cost-benefit analysis adding
the 5's methodology to correct the deficiencies and problems found throughout the study. In
summary, through the implementation of the redistribution proposal, it is possible to reduce
cycle times and routes for the manufacture of the different pieces, its application and monitoring
is recommended for continuous improvement. |

El presente trabajo de grado se realizó en la empresa MADERPACO, la cual se dedica a la fabricación y comercialización de piezas de madera basados en tres procesos fundamentales: Maquinado, Lijado y Ensamble. Es una propuesta de redistribución en planta acompañada con herramientas Lean Manufacturing cuyo objetivo es el incremento de la productividad por medio de la optimización de tiempos, recorridos, movimientos y uso de la materia prima. El proyecto comienza a partir de un diagnóstico inicial en donde se identificaron los distintos factores que intervienen en el proceso productivo tales como: maquinaria, personal, materia prima, productos manufacturados y el procedimiento para su fabricación. Luego de la etapa de diagnóstico, es conveniente la elaboración de los diagramas, principalmente el diseño de distribución actual y el diagrama relacional por departamentos, esto con el objetivo de identificar el grado de cercanía necesario entre las áreas de trabajo, posteriormente se estableció un estudio de tiempos por medio de cursogramas con el fin de establecer los tiempos de ciclo y los movimientos realizados. A continuación, se seleccionó una propuesta mediante un análisis costo-beneficio añadiéndole la metodología 5´s para corregir las deficiencias y problemas encontrados a lo largo del estudio. En síntesis, a través de la implementación de la propuesta de redistribución es posible reducir los tiempos de ciclo y los recorridos para la fabricación de las diferentes piezas, se recomienda su aplicación y seguimiento para mejora continua.
