description	This paper presents the changes in the soil during the years 2015, 2018 and 2021 that have generated the extraction of Magnesite in the Municipality of Bolívar (Cauca Valley). During this period it was observed that the most significant changes in the coverage are in the plant layers and mining. Changes in land cover and land use are determined by anthropic activities, which are responsible for changes in land cover and land use.

El presente trabajo da a conocer los cambios del suelo durante los años 2015, 2018 y 2021 que ha generado la extracción de Magnesita en el Municipio de Bolívar (valle del Cauca). Los resultados obtenidos demuestran la transformación de coberturas como lo son: Capa Vegetal, Minería, Cultivos y Población. Durante este periodo se observó que los cambios más significativos en las coberturas son en las capas vegetales y la explotación Minera. Los cambios de cobertura y el uso del suelo están determinados por actividades antrópicas, las cuales son las responsables de las transformaciones de estas.
