El artículo busca establecer las características fundamentales de la memoria colectiva de los habitantes de los barrios del Cerro del Cable en Bogotá, enfocándose en la relación que existe entre la memoria colectiva y la configuración de una identidad barrial en la que, la apropiación del territorio del cerro y la experiencia del oficio común de la alfarería tienen un lugar determinante.
