Para la población en general, es de vital importancia contar con un servicio de saneamiento básico, que deben ser eficientes, con la mayor cobertura posible y ofrecer buenas aguas residuales gestión en beneficio de toda la comunidad. Bajo este concepto, es fundamental implementar sistemas de alcantarillado, entendido como un sistema para la recolección, transporte, tratamiento y disposición final de aguas residuales realizadas a través de tuberías generalmente ubicadas bajo tierra a profundidades determinadas según diseño. En este documento trabajaremos en la evaluación de la infraestructura y la actual funcionamiento del colector principal de la red de alcantarillado del municipio de Mistrató - Risaralda a través de la recopilación de información obtenida de las visitas de campo y suministro por la empresa de servicios públicos.
