Este trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar cuál es el nivel de ansiedad que tienen hacia las matemáticas las estudiantes de grados quinto y noveno grados del Liceo Femenino Mercedes Nariño y las actitudes que perciben de su maestro de matemáticas, y si existen diferencias significativas según el grado. Para ello se utilizó el instrumento de Fennema y Sherman (1976) el cual se compone de nueve sub-escalas las cuales se pueden emplear de forma individual o en conjunto, se utilizaron dos de esas sub-escalas. Participaron 295 estudiantes, el 43% de grado quinto. Los resultados señalan que sí hay una correlación significativa y positiva entre las dos variables y en cada uno de los grados, además se identificó que no existen relaciones significativas entre un grado y otro.
